City Seeking Youths for Committee Posts
City officials are seeking the perspective of their younger citizens and have launched a search for members for the La Palma Youth Committee.
Nine youths in grades 7 through 12 will be chosen to serve on the committee, along with one City Council member and employees with the Police and the Recreation & Community Services departments.
Youths can have a say in the type of programs developed by the recreation department. They will also be responsible for marketing the programs at their schools.
Applications are available at the Recreation and Community Services Department, 7821 Walker St., or at the La Palma Library, 7842 Walker St. The applications are due by Sept. 25.
