Woodland Hills-based attorney Fred Gaines will be sworn in as the 69th president of the San Fernando Valley Bar Assn. at an annual gala Saturday at the Warner Center Marriott.
Gaines, a managing partner at Gaines & Stacey, specializes in land use, zoning and environmental law.
He will be sworn in by Assemblyman Robert Hertzberg (D-Sherman Oaks), who will be lauded for championing legislation to provide funding for the state bar.

George H. Eales has been promoted to senior marketing consultant at the Ventura County office of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services. He has been with Daum for 11 years.
The company has nine offices in Southern California and Arizona.
