Cal State Dominguez Hills Gets $100,000 Arts Grant
Cal State Dominguez Hills was awarded a $100,000 grant from Edison International to renovate its Theatre Arts Department.
The money will be used to convert a classroom and rehearsal space into a performance studio, university spokesman Rick Gloady said. The grant was funded through Edison’s Arts for the Community Program, which was created last fall to foster the arts in lower-income communities.
The studio, which is scheduled for completion in spring, will complement the 475-seat University Theatre, he said.
