Roadwork Suggestion

* Re “Freeway Work Too Dangerous,” Letters, Sept. 9.

Opher Banarie complains of the traffic delays between Laguna Niguel and Los Angeles due to the construction on the Santa Ana Freeway in Anaheim. Here’s news: We’re all inconvenienced by the work. But Banarie’s suggestion of one-way freeway traffic during rush hour is asinine. The city streets are already choked due to long-overdue work.

I suggest a more appropriate solution is that Banarie move closer to his destination, use public transportation or carpool. That will get at least one car out of traffic.
