Yes, there is life east of La Cienega Boulevard, as evidenced in tonight’s “East Side Arts Crawl,” a two-day self-guided tour of galleries throughout Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Echo Park. Exhibitions in painting, photography and mixed-media and installation work will be featured at eight alternative spaces and “living room galleries,” with extended late-night hours and refreshments available at Lemon Sky, George’s, La Luz de Jesus, Sin Du Da, Pageant, Ojala, Fototeka and Delerium/Tremens.

Fans of the Funny Lady are in for a treat. Beginning tonight, singer and master impersonator Jim Bailey does his fond tribute to La Streisand for six shows at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Starting Friday at the same location, the fan celebration Barbra: the 4th Reunion touches down for three days, including a memorabilia show Saturday afternoon. And the Museum of Television and Radio this week begins “Barbra Streisand: The Television Performances,” a 10-part screening series. The series kicks off Friday with Streisand’s 1963 appearance on “The Judy Garland Show” and her 1962 spot on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Future segments include “My Name Is Barbra,” “A Happening in Central Park” and a 1983 “20/20” interview with Geraldo Rivera on the occasion of the release of “Yentl.”
