Garden Grove to Get Flood-Control Aid
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES
Garden Grove will receive $4 million from the county’s $21.7-million flood-control improvement program for the 1998-99 fiscal year, officials said.
The funds will be used to widen the Bolsa Chica Flood Control Channel and improve drainage, officials said last week.
“Finally, a plan is in place to address flood protection,” Garden Grove Mayor Bruce Broadwater said. “We are ecstatic that the county is taking this definitive step to improve flood-control measures.”
