More Inspections Ordered for 737s

From Times Wire Reports

The Federal Aviation Administration ordered more inspections of Boeing 737 wiring around fuel tanks. The FAA said in Washington, D.C., it was requiring all airlines to inspect the fuel boost pump wiring on Boeing 737-100 through -500 series aircraft with 20,000 to 30,000 flight hours. That adds up to a little more than one to two years of flight time and is expected to apply to 215 U.S.-registered aircraft. The order stems from the ongoing investigation into the explosion of TWA Flight 800 in 1996.
