VENTURA COUNTY PEOPLE

* Don Eberhardt has been named assistant chief engineer of KADY-TV in Camarillo. He has 10 years’ experience as a system analyst and equipment technician.

He will be working with chief engineer Alan Nichols.

* Bob Merritt, owner/broker of Corinthian Yacht & Ship Brokers in the Channel Islands Harbor, has been elected president of the California Yacht Brokers Assn. for 1999.

* James Farrington has joined IPC Systems Engineering in Ventura as a power and controls engineer. He will be responsible for the design of power and control systems at the company.

Before coming to IPC, Farrington worked as an instrumentation technician at TIC in Bakersfield.

* Technicolor in Oxnard has appointed David Blaine vice president of specialty sales for the company’s Packaged Media Group. He will be responsible for all domestic sales activities for Technicolor’s promotional video products and services for the nontheatrical market.

Technicolor specializes in video duplication and CD and DVD replication.
