Stanford’s Kribel Medalist at Western Intercollegiate
Stanford’s Joel Kribel shot a final-round three-under-par 67 at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz to win medalist honors by five strokes at the Western Intercollegiate golf tournament Tuesday.
Kribel finished at one-under 139 for the 36-hole tournament, which was shortened from 54 holes because of rain. Rob Rashell finished at four-over 144 to finish second for Washington, which won the team title.
UC Irvine’s Mike Lawrence tied for seventh at six-over 146, shooting a final-round 71. Irvine finished ninth in the 18-team field.
