Latin Groups Will Salute Drummer

A lineup of Latin acts including El Chicano, Tierra’s Steve Salas and Cannibal and the Headhunters will take part in a tribute to drummer Kenny Roman at the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet on Saturday and Sunday.

Roman, who died in February at age 46, played with Malo, Tierra and El Chicano, among others. The two concerts, which begin at 11 a.m. each day, will benefit the Kenny Roman Memorial Fund, which assists musicians’ families in providing a final resting place for family members.
