Loud Movies

The writers of the three letters on “Sound in Movies” (April 8) seemed to have missed one direct action that would probably solve the problem: Speak directly to the manager of the theater. Find his office. Pester the theater employees if he seems unavailable and demand to see him. Have the box-office personnel call the projectionist. (Projectionists are cooped up in a soundproof room.)

Threaten to start a boycott of the theater. Don’t be afraid you are going to offend someone. That loud sound offends you. Fight back!
