Esperanza 4, Huntington Beach 0--Karina Heredia (4-2) pitched a two-hitter, facing the minimum 21 batters for host Esperanza (10-7, 1-1).

In the Century League:

El Modena 1, Orange 0 (11)--Freshman left fielder Ashley Stewart doubled in the top of the 11th inning, scoring Ashley VanBoxmeer for El Modena (9-8, 1-1). VanBoxmeer singled up the middle. Senior Erin Norton went three for five and struck out 11 Orange batters.

No. 5 Pacifica 8, Garden Grove 0--Toria Auelua hit a two-run home run in the first and Tiffany Wallace also had two RBIs for the Mariners (13-5, 5-0).

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 1, Whittier Christian 0--Melanie Morgan led off the fifth with a base hit for host Orange Lutheran (17-4, 4-0), was sacrificed to second and scored on a single by Jennie Miklos. Jessica Edwards (9-3) had eight strikeouts and gave up two hits for the Lancers. Whittier Christian is 7-9, 3-1.

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 9 Aliso Niguel 4, Estancia 1--Chezare Sievers had two RBIs and Danielle Heath had seven strikeouts and gave up no earned runs to pick up her eighth victory for Aliso Niguel (10-6, 2-0).

Laguna Hills 9, Laguna Beach 1--Jackie Eliades had three hits and three RBIs and Melissa Creeger pitched a two-hitter and hit a home run for host Laguna Hills (13-4-2, 2-0).

University 7, Costa Mesa 0--Kelsey Angus went two for three with three RBIs for University (3-14-2, 1-1) and Tiffany Waldman struck out five and walked none in her first shutout of the season.

In nonleague games:

Fullerton 6-13, Katella 0-0--Winning pitcher Joanna Gray took a no-hitter into the seventh of the first game but gave up a one-out single for visiting Fullerton (10-7).
