What Did You Have for Dinner Last Night?

I’ve been busy working on a new television show, so last night had leftovers. It was a beef stew, and I think I made it last Friday or Saturday, whichever day I had off. I usually make it with chuck, but this time I used top round because it was on sale and it was exceptionally well-marbled. I cook it with Zinfandel and a touch of cinnamon--I guess that’s the Sicilian touch. Also, I cook the vegetables separately and add them at the last minute; that way they stay a little fresher. I like that.
