MAKING CONNECTIONS

Families living in the United States may use the American Red Cross’ main Web site at https://www.redcross.org to help find loved ones displaced by the conflict in Kosovo.
To access the system, computer users will link to the Displaced Persons Linking Center on the home page. From that location, the user can input information about the person they are seeking, including name, address and other information that can assist the Red Cross in its attempt to reunite the family members.
The information is then sent to the American Red Cross headquarters, where it is shared with the International Committee for the Red Cross. The committee will soon be offering a similar service to refugees interested in voluntarily participating in the process.
