In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 8, Fairmont 3--Tracy Sherman hit a home run and Rachael Stoddard struck out 11 in a two-hitter for host St. Margaret’s (7-8, 3-2).

In the Golden West League:

Rosary 7, Westminster 0--Right fielder Rachel Cody went two for two with an RBI and threw out a runner at home in the sixth inning to preserve the shutout for visiting Rosary (13-8, 4-0).

Tustin 13, Saddleback 4--Senior Brooke Brown had two hits and two RBIs and sophomore Ashley Capucci hit a bases-loaded triple in the sixth for Tustin (9-8, 2-2).

In the Sea View League:

No. 5 El Toro 14, Newport Harbor 1--Susan Churchwell hit the first outside-the-park homer on Newport Harbor’s home field and improved to 10-3 for El Toro (16-6, 2-4).

Santa Margarita 4, Irvine 0--Nichole Bartholomew threw a three-hitter with six strikeouts for the Eagles (12-8, 2-1).

In a nonleague doubleheader:

Huntington Beach 2-1, Long Beach Milikan 0-0--Pitcher Ashley Perkins (4-6) gave up one hit, struck out seven, and had three hits for visiting Huntington Beach (7-12). In the second game, Huntington Beach’s Tiffany Brown (4-6) pitched a no-hitter and struck out 12.

In nonleague boys’ swimming:

Buena Park 89, Canyon 81--Canyon’s Chris Meyer won the 200 individual medley in 2 minutes 2.73 seconds, a Southern Section qualifying time and school record. Meyer improved by two seconds over the mark he set last year.

In nonleague girls’ swimming:

No. 8 Canyon 137, Buena Park 19--Sheva Khalafbeigi won the 100 freestyle in 57.36 seconds and the 50 freestyle in 25.75 seconds, a Southern Section qualifying time, for host Canyon (8-1).
