Frustrated With City’s Inaction
I grew up in Lakewood and agree that it once was a very safe place to live. But this is no longer true. The City Council is not concerned about the safety of the residents at all.
I live on a residential street that is terrorized by speeding city vehicles as well as vehicles driven by the residents and have begged the City Council to do something about this. They told me that 100 cars driving down my street daily at 30 to 45 mph is considered “relatively safe.”
To make my street safe, I have to bring legal action against the city because they won’t do anything on their own. I would never buy another house in this city.
