The city has received an insurance payment of $850,000 in connection with the Sept. 21 water tank rupture on Hefley Street. This is the second payment from the Orange County Cities Risk Management Authority, a coalition of 11 cities that pool funds to insure each other. Westminster now has received $1.65 million and expects to receive more as the additional expenses involved in responding to the disaster are reviewed.
