Vintage and collectible trains will roll into town this weekend for Fullerton Rail Road Days, an event to commemorate the city’s historic rail connection and raise awareness of railroad safety. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and will feature free tours of restored vintage and modern passenger cars. There also will be exhibits on railway artifacts, model train layouts and train safety.

Students also are participating in a citywide poster contest. Winning drawings will be displayed at the Elizabeth Markman Gallery, 122 N. Harbor Blvd. The rest of the festivities will be held at the Fullerton Train Station, 124 E. Santa Fe St., one block east of Harbor Boulevard and a block south of Commonwealth Avenue.
