Residents and developers no longer need to trek to county offices in Santa Ana to obtain permits for constructing or renovating buildings in the city. The 4-month-old city contracted the Aliso Viejo-based planning consulting firm Culbertson, Adams and Associates to run its Community Development Department.
“Since we’re so small and we don’t have ongoing construction, we don’t want to pay someone to sit in the office full-time,” said Leslie Keane, Laguna Woods city manager. Instead, Culbertson staff members will work out of their own office, said Kevin Canning, managing principal.
Laguna Woods residents who want to apply for permits should call the offices of Culbertson, Adams and Associates for an appointment at (949) 581-2888.
