Garden Grove libraries will get more money in fiscal 1999-2000 than in fiscal 1998-99, under a plan approved recently by the City Council. The three city libraries, which include the Chapman, Bailey and regional branches, will get $1.1 million this year. The amount last year was $892,516. The money will be used to maintain current service levels. Many libraries throughout the county currently operate six days a week. The money comes from Orange County Public Library funds. The OCPL is a special library district that serves 23 of the 32 cities in the county.
