A woman who admitted helping her cousin pull off a Santa Clarita bank heist was sentenced Tuesday to five years behind bars by a San Fernando judge.

Superior Court Judge Charles Peven sentenced Georgina Janelle Greene, 20, to state prison. Greene pleaded guilty last month to two counts of bank robbery.

Greene and her cousin, Eddie Pugh, a former Canyon High football star, were arrested in December after the robbery of a Citibank branch in the 19100 block of Soledad Canyon Road.

Pugh, 20, was sentenced to state prison last month after pleading guilty to two counts of robbery and one count of escape.

The escape charge stemmed from Pugh’s flight from Newhall Municipal Court in March, following a preliminary hearing in which a judge ordered him to stand trial in the bank robbery.
