* Update--The Galaxy takes a brief break from Major League Soccer competition to play an exhibition against one of Mexico’s most popular clubs. The Guadalajara team is in town to compete in Libertadores Cup qualifying play Sunday at the Coliseum, along with other Mexican league teams Toluca, Club America and Cruz Azul. The Galaxy returns to MLS play Saturday in San Jose against the Clash, then plays the Columbus Crew in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals Aug. 11.
