The U.S. men’s soccer team defeated Saudi Arabia, 2-0, Tuesday to take third place in the Confederations Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The victory capped a strong performance in the tournament by the U.S., which defeated Germany, 2-0, came close to tying Brazil--the favorite against Mexico in today’s final--in a 1-0 match.
The U.S. goals came at the 26th minute from Paul Bravo and at the 79th minute from Brian McBride.
