Big Band Concert at Concordia University

A free concert will bring some swing to Irvine’s Concordia University at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The 16-member Webster’s Unabridged Big Band will perform traditional big band numbers, swing and rock ‘n’ roll in the university’s first Concerts on the Green series.

More than 500 people came to the first concert in July, said Doug Fleischli, a university spokesman.

Everyone is invited to bring a picnic dinner, spread a blanket and listen to the concert on the campus lawn, he said.
