Cable’s Monopoly Cancels Choice

Share

* My concern is about cable providers and their monopoly.

I recently considered purchasing a cable modem for my household and was shocked to realize that Century Communications will not have service for my area for at least a year.

I do not like to be left in the dark with the Internet and the advances of modems, and I feel that I am being forced to wait for them to give me access.

I have no right on what cable provider I want. I have no choice on the television stations I can have, except for the premium channels like HBO and Showtime.

This is wrong, that the citizens of Anaheim have to wait for the cable company to provide them a service that we are paying for because it is the only one we have to pick from.

If you have a problem or want a cable service installed, you have to wait for a nine-hour window for them to come. What is this?

If there were a little competition out there, we would have what we want, with a choice, exactly what the state of California and the United States stand for.

No one seems to care that the cable providers are doing exactly what the phone companies were doing years ago.
