FULLERTON
Residents who didn’t qualify for city-assisted home loans because their income was too high may now be eligible under new federal income guidelines. Since the average income for Orange County is higher than that of the country, the Department of Housing and Urban Development allowed some Orange County cities, including Fullerton, to increase the income cap.
The City Council recently approved an increase in the maximum income from $47,800 to $54,640.
The city-assisted programs are low-interest loans for home improvement or first-time home buyers. For information, contact Sylvia Chavez at (714) 738-6874.
