City workers will install temporary traffic diverters in a neighborhood for six months to see whether the devices prevent motorists from speeding. The city will consider installing permanent diverters after the six-month trial period if 66% of the residents vote in favor of the project. The devices--barriers which allow only right-hand-turn traffic in and out of the streets--will be installed in the Wilshire Square section of the city, near McFadden Avenue and Flower Street.
