GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS

* A-C Construction in Moorpark won a contract for $1.5 million from Ventura County to build a drain for the Las Posas Estates area of Camarillo. The project, which includes a 2,500-foot drain, access roads and a chain link fence, is near the intersection of Beardsley Road and Central Avenue.

Work is scheduled to begin Aug. 26 and be completed by Feb. 25.

* Paul Hubbs Construction Co. in Riverside was awarded a contract for $198,701 from Ventura County to restore the Ventura River bank in Ojai. The project calls for construction of a 160-foot concrete and rock riprap on the east bank of the river, about 500 feet north of Camille Drive in the community of Mira Monte.

The project is scheduled for completion next week.

* Tyree Organization Ltd. in Cerritos won a contract for $34,501 from Ventura County to replace the boiler fuel tank at the Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura. The work calls for construction of an above-ground fuel storage tank.

The project is scheduled to begin this week and be completed by Oct. 26. * C&R; Landscape in Oxnard was awarded a contract for $24,700 from Ventura County to install an irrigation system at the Arundell Barranca Dam in Ventura. The work will be done on Sexton Canyon Road, about 1 1/2 miles north of Foothill Road.

Work is scheduled to begin this month.

* Channel Islands Paving in Camarillo won a contract for $24,001 from Ventura County to put 60 more spaces in the temporary parking lot at the Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura.

The work was done in July.

* Griffin Bros. Landscape in Camarillo was awarded a contract for $23,444 from Ventura County to install irrigation systems in the Adams Barranca and Fagan Canyon debris basins near Santa Paula. Adams Barranca is north of Foothill Road, approximately one mile west of Santa Paula. Fagan Canyon is north of Santa Paula Street, behind the Santa Paula Cemetery.

The work is scheduled for completion by Sept. 12.

* Griffin Bros. Landscape in Camarillo was awarded a contract for $4,165 from Ventura County to prevent erosion at the west branch debris basin at West Camarillo Hills. The project called for placing jute mat and hydro-seeding on one-fifth of an acre approximately 300 feet east of the end of Estaban Drive in Camarillo.

The work was done in July.
