Children will be able to receive free vaccines and health screenings at two Valley locations as part of a health fair Saturday.

Kids may receive immunizations for measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B and chickenpox, said Lourdes del Rio II of the American Red Cross, which is organizing the Kids Care Fair with KABC-TV Channel 7.

The exams will test children’s teeth, vision and blood pressure and check for tuberculosis, Del Rio said. There will also be a resource center offering advice on health issues, she said.

“It’s an alternative for children and their families to receive health information and free vaccinations,” Del Rio said. “Proper immunization can save lives.”

Vaccinations and health screenings will be available Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, North Valley Center, 1200 N. Maclay St., San Fernando, and the Valencia Health Center, 23763 Valencia Blvd.

Attendees may also drop off entry forms for a free trip to Disneyland. Forms are available at Sav-On Drugs stores.
