* Becky C. Shelton has been named an executive vice president and head of the new wealth management division at Los Angeles-based Sanwa Bank California. Her appointment is part of ongoing personnel changes that began in January, when Sanwa announced a bankwide management reorganization that included the formation of the wealth management division. At that time, Sanwa created two distinct business units: a retail bank and a commercial bank. Wealth management falls under the retail banking category.

Shelton, 47, previously served in senior trust and private banking positions with US Bank in Denver and with Union Bank, First Interstate and Security Pacific banks in Los Angeles.

Sanwa, a subsidiary of Japan-based Sanwa Bank, also promoted wealth management division chief investment officer Richard Weiss to executive vice president.
