The City Council will meet tonight to consider a new ordinance to regulate maintenance, planting and the removal of public trees. The ordinance is designed to manage the city’s 50,000 trees along guidelines established by the International Society of Arboriculture. The council meets at 6 p.m. in chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza.
