Motorcyclist Killed in Truck Collision
A 61-year-old man died early Tuesday in Brea after his motorcycle struck a tractor-trailer, authorities said.
Robert Edward Diclemente of Yorba Linda was traveling west on Imperial Highway when he hit the rig in front of him, lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a utility pole near Brea Boulevard, Brea Police Lt. Billy Hutchinson said.
Diclemente suffered severe injuries and was transported to Brea Community Hospital, where he later died, Hutchinson said. Investigators said that neither driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The driver of the truck, a 38-year-old man from Romoland, was not injured in the accident, which is being investigated by Brea police.
