LAGUNA BEACH
Each City Council member has appointed a resident to serve on the new Water Quality Committee, which will review city programs to combat ocean pollution.
Councilman Steve Dicterow appointed Michael Beanan, vice president of the South Laguna Civic Assn.; Paul Freeman appointed James Pribram, a professional surfer and surf coach at Laguna Beach High School; Wayne L. Peterson appointed Chad Nelsen, environmental programs manager for the Surfrider Foundation; Kathleen Blackburn appointed Victor Opencar, a water quality engineer; and Toni Iseman appointed attorney Ron Harris.
The committee will make recommendations on water projects and improvements during the second half of the fiscal year.
