Long Beach State Rebounds in Time

Senior forward D’Cean Bryant rebounded his own miss and made a layup with less than a second remaining to give Long Beach State a 77-76 victory Wednesday over Air Force at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Bryant grabbed the ball off an inbounds pass at halfcourt and drove to the basket. He missed his first attempt, but was successful on the second to give the 49ers (3-3) the win.
“I just saw six seconds on the clock,” Bryant said. “I took it as fast as I could.”
Senior center Mate Milisa tied his career high of 25 points. Long Beach led by 19 at one point, but 16 second-half turnovers allowed Air Force (2-4) to come back.
