Terry Hopp Moves Up to CFO at Irvine’s Western Digital

Western Digital Corp. said Terry Hopp will become chief financial officer and senior vice president, effective Jan. 3. Hopp replaces Duston Williams, who will become chief financial officer of Enterprise Networking Systems Inc. in Redwood City.

Hopp, 40, previously was vice president of finance at Irvine-based Western. The company hasn’t selected a replacement for Hopp, a spokesman said. (Dow Jones)

* Maria Messinger has been named a vice president and chief financial officer of Cortex Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Irvine. She remains controller. Messinger joined Cortex as controller in 1994. Before that, she was an audit manager for Ernst & Young LLP.

* W. Robert Dahl has joined the board of directors of InSight Health Services Corp. in Newport Beach. He is a managing director of the Carlyle Group, where he oversees investing activities in the health-care industry. Dahl succeeds David W. Dupree, who has left the Carlyle Group.

* Tracey McCarter has been appointed director of women’s programs for Autobytel.com in Irvine. Before joining the company, McCarter was marketing manager at Miralite Communications. She also spent five years in sales and marketing in the investment banking industry working for Stephens Inc. and Morgan Stanley.
