St. John’s Barkley Sidelined

St. John’s guard Erick Barkley underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, a day after he was injured in the Red Storm’s victory over St. Francis, N.Y. Barkley had 11 points on five-for-17 shooting before leaving the game. It is not known how long he will be sidelined. . . . The Big Ten men’s basketball tournament will alternate between Chicago and Indianapolis beginning in 2001.
