Boy Arrested in Double-Murder Case

A boy, 14, has been arrested in Longmont, Colo., on suspicion of killing two women, identified in reports as his adoptive mother and grandmother. The Boulder County coroner’s office, said Elizabeth Reinschmidt-Engel, 56, of Longmont, had been stabbed in the chest, and Catherine Reinschmidt, 82, of Austin, Texas, had suffered blunt trauma to the head. Thomas Engel, 47, discovered the bodies in the family’s Longmont home, about 30 miles north of Denver.
