Olowokandi Facing Bigger Assignment
Clipper center Michael Olowokandi faced Vancouver’s Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Monday night and had his way against his Grizzly counterpart, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Olowokandi, however, knows that Reeves is not the Lakers’ Shaquille O’Neal, who he will play against tonight for the first time this season.
“There’s a big difference,” Olowokandi said. “Bryant Reeves is a big guy but Shaq is big and powerful. Defensively, the key is going to be our plan against him. I’m sure all the teams have done everything they could and Shaq has still put up big numbers.
“I know a big burden of our defensive scheme will fall on me to keep him out. I am going to have to concentrate on defense more than anything else.”

The Clippers, the visiting team tonight, have lost nine in a row to the Lakers.
