Tobacco Money
If our supervisors have any consciousness of the well-being of the people of Orange County, they should not have any problem deciding what to do with the tobacco money. It is blood money, to be paid for the damage and loss of the health of the victims of tobacco, which could include anybody who has inhaled tobacco smoke over the period of many years. The tobacco money could buy expensive machines so more people could afford the medical care they need. Believe me, those supervisors are just as likely to come down with lung ailments as anybody else. We don’t need any more “bailout money” for some attorneys fees or the like.
