Houston Beats Ice Dogs in Shootout

Terry Marchant’s second goal of the game, with 1:24 to play, sent the game into a shootout, where the Houston Aeros defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs for a 4-3 victory Friday night at Houston.
Five goals were scored in the third period, with the Ice Dogs (14-14-3) holding the lead once at 3-2.
The Aeros (15-8-4) won the shootout, 3-1, with Greg Pankesicz ending it in the fourth round after the Ice Dogs failed to score in the first three rounds.
