The city has established a 24-hour information hotline detailing its readiness for the 2000 date change. The number is (714) 229-6693 and will operate until Jan. 3.
A recorded message gives emergency services and resource information for the city. American Red Cross and Federal Emergency Management Agency phone numbers also will be included.
New information will be added to the recorded message as it becomes available.
