LAGUNA BEACH
A school booster group donated $15,600 this month to 70 teachers in the Laguna Beach Unified School District to purchase classroom supplies such as books and audio/video equipment and to pay for field trips.
Schoolpower members said 65 parents contributed more than $1,000 and 100 parents contributed more than $365 during its annual Community Campaign this year.
The campaign raised $205,000, of which $15,600 will go directly to the teachers.
The rest of the money was donated to the school district for other purposes.
