SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

Water service has been fully restored to one city neighborhood affected by last week’s break of a main water pipeline in Irvine.
The break affected residents and businesses in the neighborhood bordered by Interstate 5, Ortega Highway and La Novia Avenue.
Water service in the neighborhood was back to normal Monday after the Metropolitan Water District fixed the broken line.
The break cut off the water supply from one of three sources that feed San Juan Capistrano, forcing city officials to install a temporary pump station to provide service to residents in the southern and southeastern areas of the city.
