LAGUNA NIGUEL
The Laguna Niguel Playhouse, which has allowed community members to display their theatrical talents for more than eight years, will set up shop 15 miles away on Costa Mesa’s Bristol Street. The company will also take on a new name, Trilogy Playhouse, when it makes the move in January.
The group signed a lease earlier this month with the owner of the Lab, known as “the anti-mall,” to rent a 66-seat theater, said Playhouse Director Alicia Butler. The group’s lease with the Design Center on Aliso Creek Road ran out in September, when the center was sold to a new owner.
