The Jacksonville Jaguars are 13-1, riding an 11-game winning streak, positioned to secure home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs, favored by many to reach the Super Bowl . . . and wondering when they’re going to put it all together.

“What we’re trying to accomplish is to come out like a team that’s hot, on fire, getting it going,” linebacker Lonnie Marts said after Sunday’s 24-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns. “It’s got to start somewhere. We wanted it to start against Cleveland and it didn’t.”

Said safety Donovin Darius: “Any time you win in the NFL, you feel good. At the same time, we have our own individual goals and team concepts and other things we want to accomplish. If we don’t accomplish them, it takes some of the joy out of it.”

The Jaguars’ game against the Tennessee Titans (11-3) Sunday at Nashville will be their first against a team that currently has a winning record since the third week of the season, when they lost to the Titans, 20-19, at Jacksonville.

In Tennessee, Titan rookie defensive end Jevon Kearse appreciates all the comparisons to Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, but he’s more concerned about leaving his own legacy of excellence.

“Right now, I’m trying to make a name for my own self in this league,” said “the Freak,” who leads the Titans with 13 1/2 sacks and was selected this week to start in the Pro Bowl. “I want them to compare people to me. Hopefully another year or two down the line, I’ll be my own person and they’ll start comparing players to me.”
