The City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to hire a consultant to design plans for the city’s annual residential street maintenance contract and the widening of an intersection.
Norris-Repke Inc. was hired for $19,865 to draft a design proposal that involves the rehabilitation of nine streets and the widening of the Loma Street and Cerro Villa Drive intersection.
City officials estimate the improvements will cost about $250,000 to repair cracked and worn slurry sealed surfaces on the nine residential streets and to construct a new curb and gutter on Cerro Villa Drive and Loma Street.
