PBS Millennium 2000

A 25-hour millennium exploration and celebration of the world featuring performances by such artists as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Nana Mouskouri, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Gipsy Kings, Elton John, Ray Charles, Harry Connick Jr. and Aretha Franklin. America 2000

A 24-hour live millennium celebration, anchored by Peter Jennings from ABC’s Times Square Studios, will include Dick Clark’s annual coverage of the midnight hour, and such musical guests as Billy Joel, N’Sync, Neil Diamond, Aerosmith, Bonnie Raitt and Natalie Merchant. ABC. Friday at 1:50 a.m.

Mega Millennium Marathon

A New World’s Eve

Brit Hume and Paula Zahn host a celebration from New York’s Times Square with around-the-world coverage and reports from the Federal Y2K Center in Washington, D.C.
