Stanford still is undefeated. And now it has Mark Madsen back on the court.

Madsen, the Cardinal’s only returning starter from last season, returned after sitting out eight games because of a strained right hamstring as No. 1 Stanford beat New Hampshire, 119-60, Wednesday night in the opener of the Stanford Invitational.

Madsen blocked a shot in his first few seconds on the court and then got down court and made a layup. He had eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 21 minutes.

The 119 points were the most scored by Stanford since a 129-108 victory over Yale in 1985-86, and the second-largest victory margin in school history. The Cardinal tied a school record with 15 three-point baskets in 26 attempts.
