BUENA PARK
Rehabilitation of the historic Stage Stop Hotel is expected to begin immediately after the new year.
The project cost is $476,150 and the balance in the hotel project account is $427,000. On Tuesday, the City Council appropriated $60,000 from Community Development Block Grant funds.
RVM Construction Inc. has been awarded the contract and the completion is slated for June.
The building, located in the Historic District across from the Civic Center on Beach Boulevard, will get an exterior face-lift and the interior will be renovated into office space.
