Sandpiper Networks Names New Vice President

Sandpiper Networks in Westlake Village has appointed Eric Shepcaro as the company’s vice president of worldwide sales.

In his position, Shepcaro will implement programs to aid the global roll-out of Sandpiper’s Footprint service. Launched in the fall, Footprint is an Internet delivery service for Web publishers that is designed to recognize and respond to changes in network conditions, user demands and system loads.

Shepcaro has more than 20 years of technical sales and marketing experience. Before joining Sandpiper, he spent more than 17 years at Sprint Corp. Most recently, Shepcaro was Sprint’s vice president of sales engineering and application support, where he spearheaded technical sales, business development, network engineering and service implementation for business and government customers.

Sandpiper is privately funded by Brentwood Venture Capital, Media Technology Ventures and Mission Ventures.
